Namioto Masks: New to Oomomo

This April we are excited to announce the arrival of a new line of handmade fabric masks. Introducing: Namioto! Namioto is passionate about Japanese-made masks with Japanese cloth and Japanese designs.

If you didn’t know already, east Asia has already been using mouth masks for years to help prevent the spread of airborne viruses, as well as hiding certain facial features (pimples, coldsores, etc), and also to relieve social anxiety for introverts (it’s easy to hide behind a mask!). They have become such a staple in everyday life that more and more people are starting to coordinate their masks with their outfits, which we love! In Japan, many people buy Namioto masks to coordinate with their kimonos or yukatas.
